growing up (le sigh)
You know when you are younger and you think to yourself, "I will know when I am older because I will cook meals, and grocery shop with a list and clean the kitchen everynight." Or something to that affect. Well, I am there. And oddly enough, I am so proud of myself!
Yes, this past week I not only successfully decided on a weekly menu AND posted it on our chalkboard (how trendy of me), but I also did all the shopping on Monday and executed the dinners. To top that all off, the kitchen was cleaned daily AND I baked two extra items (banana chocolate chip muffins and choco-pumpkin brownies) to bring into work.

I know, it is incredible. And where it seems exhausting and a little too domestic to even me when I write it out, it really did make the week that much easier. I wasn't at work trying to figure out what we could make for dinner that night. And yesterday, I even busted out the slow cooker and made my first ever pork roast! I then shredded it and drowned it in Blues Hog BBQ sauce for the most delightfully delicious pulled pork sandwich. Mostly? Because I made it myself.
