49 Days
There are 49 days until I set off for another trip to Madagascar! But before I get myself all worked up about that, I first have to enjoy one of my favorite times in Saint Louis: MARDI GRAS.
This weekend is the big ole Mardi Gras festivities. Mardi Gras, of course, is actually on Tuesday (Fat Tuesday) but the parades and revelry all happen on the Saturday before. Tonight I trying my hand at making King Cake (if I find a little plastic baby...) and Saturday I am meeting up with friends and family in historic Soulard for some Hurricanes and wandering.
In Saint Louis and never been to Mardi Gras? FOR SHAME. You are missing out on soooo much more than beads and boobies. There is rum, music and gorgeous StL to breathe in! Here is a good rundown on what you will see, should you make it out.
