Pic of the Kuhlette that we saw on that fateful day:

So I went to google and selected the website: Baby Gender Prediction.com** to be my testing ground on OWT accuracy.
Here are my results:
The Heart Rate test: The theory states that if your baby's heart rate was 140 beats per minute and above, you would be having a girl. If the heart rate was under 140 beats per minute, then you would be having a boy.
Our data: Baby has always been under 140.
Conclusion: Boy.
Chinese Gender Chart:Legend states that the Chinese Gender Chart was buried in a royal tomb near Beijing over 700 years ago. The original is allegedly currently in the Institute of Science in Beijing. By using mother's age at conception and month of conception, the chart will predict boy or girl,
Our data: 26, June.
Conclusion:Boy.
Note: At other sites I was given the result of girl. I think this might be due to the fact that the Chinese gender chart is based on a lunar month. So on the day I conceived we were in the 5th lunar month, and not the 6th like one would expect for June. 5th month = girl, 6th month = boy.
Sweet vs. Sour:Craving ice cream every single day? Some people believe this means it's a girl. If you have to have salty or sour stuff, then it's a boy.
Our data: Sour!
Conclusion: Boy.
Mayan Prediction:Legend has it that the Mayans determined a baby's sex by looking at the mother's age at conception and the year of conception. If both are even or odd, it's a girl. If one's even and one's odd, it's a boy.
Our data: 26, 2010. Both even.
Conclusion: Girl.
Acne: The belief goes that girls steal their mother's beauty, hence, those annoying zits.
Our data: Definitely broke out.
Results:Girl
So, what did we learn? Maybe you should hold off on buying too many dresses for Baby Kuhlrock!!
*Anatomy scans can be wrong! I remember when my cousin Sarah was in labor with what we all thought was a little girl she would be naming Lucita, I was shocked when I received this cryptic email from my mother:
"There is no Lucita, it's a Declan."A what!? I didn't know what "a Declan" was, but turns out it is her baby boy's name! So even though I have a feeling its a girl, we will be going into the hospital with a boys name picked out, just in case.
**The use of the word "Gender" here is misleading. Gender is a social construct, whether a human takes on the socially acceptable characteristics of a "male" or "female". Some males would identify more as a female and vice versa. Sex is the more appropriate terminology for what was determined at our anatomy scan because we were looking at the sex organs. FYI.
